The isopod in question

Well well, welcome to my blog.

I see you're curious about what's in the mind of an isopod, that isopod being me. Well, let me introduce myself. I'm Ivonna, I go by Isopod Chan online, and my pronouns are she/her. I've been on the internet for longer than I wish to admit, but I've never had a blog of my own until now.

Flags: Heteromantic bisexual, Aplatonic

I was inspired by the youtuber Mothcub and her Tumblr post begging for a blog resurgence in 2026. The idea of starting a YouTube channel has always been in the back of my mind, but I don't have the equipment for it, let alone the money to afford them. And even if I could a YouTube channel with whatever I have in hand, YouTube feel more like a career than anything, and it's a commitment I don't really have time for.

So the idea of a blog instantly appealed to me. The opportunity to be able to just ramble freely about my thoughts of the things I like, right at the comfort of my crappy laptop without having to use my face or voice for anything is exactly what I need. And the best part? I don't need to clutter my other social media accounts with these long rambles, I can have a separate website just for these brain dumps.

And that website is exactly where you are right now; my humble little blog.

So, if you're interested in reading my unprofessional opinion on things like movies and games, tune into silly little blog to see what's new in the mind of this isopod. I'm not an expert in media literacy, and my school essays were never great, but hey, at least it's not a-eye (I don't wanna say the actual acronym).

P.S. In this house, we LOVE the em dash. I don't care if the a-eye bubble has ruined the em dash for people, it will always be my favorite little punctuation mark. Em dash for LIFE!
